Water Settlement Proposal Nears Advancement

Boulders Homeowners Association (BHOA) members are currently voting on a compensation settlement proposal between the Town of Carefree and the BHOA for condemned land along Tom Darlington Road. The land is the site of a nearly completed water reservoir built to serve recently acquired customers of the Carefree Water Company.

Yesterday, the positive vote count exceeded the threshold required to guarantee member approval of the Town’s offer.

Voting will continue until November 28, and the final result will be announced in a BHOA Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 29.

Also required is a vote of the Carefree Town Council, which is expected at the upcoming December 6 Town Council meeting. Both parties must approve the proposal before it can be submitted to the court.
