Scheduled to take place Sunday night, July 26, Scottsdale Road traffic will be shifted to the west side of Scottsdale Road
Construction continues for improvements to Scottsdale Road from Jomax Road to Dixileta Drive. Planned improvements will convert this section of Scottsdale Road to a complete street to include landscaped medians, bike lanes, sidewalks and trails to improve safety, capacity and accessibility for motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. The project includes installation of a signalized crossing at Pinnacle Vista Drive, and drainage improvements.
- Scottsdale Road traffic is currently shifted to the east side of Scottsdale Road, one lane in each direction, from Dixileta Drive to Jomax Road. In addition, Dynamite Boulevard remains closed on the west side of Scottsdale Road, for crews to complete work on the west side of Scottsdale Road and rebuild the west side of the Scottsdale Road/Dynamite Boulevard intersection.
- Scheduled to take place Sunday night, July 26, Scottsdale Road traffic will be shifted to the west side of Scottsdale Road, one lane in each direction, and Dynamite Boulevard will reopen on the west side of Scottsdale Road. In addition, Oberlin Way and Bent Tree Drive will be closed on the east side of Scottsdale Road.
- Also scheduled to take place Sunday night, July 26, Dynamite Boulevard will be CLOSED on the EAST SIDE of Scottsdale Road through late December for crews to construct box culverts, footings and headwalls as part of drainage improvements, and build the east side of the intersection. Left turns will be permitted for southbound traffic at Dixileta Drive, and for north and south bound traffic at Jomax Road. Detour signage will be in place to direct travelers around the closure.
- Scheduled for the week of July 27, crews will remove asphalt and begin work to install water pipeline, box culverts, and storm drain pipe on the east side of the Scottsdale Road and Dynamite Boulevard intersection.
Please remember that Scottsdale Road is an active construction area and refrain from pedestrian or cycling activity in the work zone. And, although traffic is now on newly paved asphalt, the speed limit remains at 30 mph through the construction zone. Traffic control is in place for your safety and the safety of construction crews. Please use an alternate route if one is available in order to help minimize traffic back-ups on Scottsdale Road.
Based on temperatures and the remote location from the concrete materials supplier, concrete pours may take place in the early morning hours, weekdays, as needed, to provide the best quality end product. Work primarily takes place during daytime hours, weekdays; however, it may be necessary, at times, to conduct work during night hours or weekend days.
