| Scottsdale Road Improvements – Jomax Road to Dixileta Drive |
| Construction continues for improvements to Scottsdale Road from Jomax Road to Dixileta Drive. Planned improvements will convert this section of Scottsdale Road to a complete street to include landscaped medians, bike lanes, sidewalks and trails to improve safety, capacity and accessibility for motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. The project includes installation of a signalized crossing at Pinnacle Vista Drive, and drainage improvements. Scheduled to take place Friday, April 10, crews will complete paving the base course (bottom layer) of asphalt on the east side of Scottsdale Road, from Oberlin Way to Jomax Road. Scheduled to take place Saturday, April 11, striping crews will apply striping in preparation to switch Scottsdale Road traffic early next week. Scheduled to take place Tuesday, April 14, Scottsdale Road traffic will be shifted to the east side of Scottsdale Road, one lane in each direction, from Dixileta Drive to Jomax Road, for crews to conduct work on the west side of Scottsdale Road and to rebuild the west side of the Scottsdale Road/Dynamite Boulevard intersection. Left turns will be restored at the Dixileta Drive and Jomax Road intersections, and access will be restored for Redbird, Bent Tree and Oberlin Way on the east side of Scottsdale Road. Scheduled to take place Tuesday, April 14 through late July, Dynamite Boulevard will be CLOSED on the west side of Scottsdale Road for crews to install waterline, storm drain and rebuild the west half of the intersection. Detour signage will be in place to direct travelers around the closure. Scheduled to begin following the traffic switch on Tuesday, April 14, crews will reconstruct the concrete valley gutter across Bobwhite Way on the west side of Scottsdale Road. This work will be conducted one-half of the valley gutter at a time to maintain traffic. Scheduled to begin Monday, April 20, concrete crews will reconstruct the corner ramps on the west side of the Dixileta Drive intersection and also work on the medians in Scottsdale Road, south of Dixileta Drive. Landscape crews are currently replanting previously salvaged trees on the east side of Scottsdale Road. Please remember that Scottsdale Road is an active construction area and refrain from pedestrian or cycling activity in the work zone. And, although traffic is now on newly paved asphalt, the speed limit remains at 30 mph through the construction zone. Traffic control is in place for your safety and the safety of construction crews. Please use an alternate route if one is available in order to help minimize traffic back-ups on Scottsdale Road. Based on temperatures and the remote location from the concrete materials supplier, concrete pours may take place in the early morning hours, weekdays, as needed, to provide the best quality end product. Work primarily takes place during daytime hours, weekdays; however, it may be necessary, at times, to conduct work during night hours or weekend days.
